Diameters, Inc. was organized for the purpose of filling a need for jobshop capabilities in the Midwest. In an effort to let our present and potential customers know our grinding capabilities, we are submitting a fact sheet. We grind virtually all types of materials, solids and tubes, steel, stainless steel, tool steel (hard & soft), bronze, brass, aluminum, most plastics, rubber, graphite, fiberglass, and exotic metals, such as monel, inconel, etc., with the exception of carbide.

Bar Grinding: We can grind bars from .050" to 8" diameter. In certain instances, we can grind up to 9" in diameter.*

If the bar is 20' to 24' in length, we can handle up to 8" diameter.

The maximum weight is 1000 lb. each.

Thrufeed Grinding: We are able to grind from .030" up to 6-1/2" diameter. This can be a solid piece or tubular. In limited situations, we can grind up to 9" in diameter and grind over keyways and crossholes.*

Infeed Grinding: (Up to a shoulder) We are able to grind from .030" to 6-1/2" diameter and lengths up to 24" long. In limited situations we can grind over keyways and crossholes and up to 9" in diameter.*

Collet Grinding: We have a Collet grinder that is capable of grinding angles, cutouts, and radii for any part that will fit into a 5-C Collet.

Between Centers: We have 3 machines: 1st machine is a 14" x 36", 2nd machine is a 10" x 48" and 3rd machine is a 20" x 48". We can grind some tapers and angles. The 10" x 48" machine has a digital readout.

Straightening: We have 2 straightening presses: a hand press and a 130-ton press. We can handle up to 12' in length.
